AR Horsemanship offers lessons for a variety of ages and skill levels, in both English and Western disciplines, specializing in youth and 4H, teaching from the ground up. We teach fundamental horsemanship and care with an emphasis on safety. Lessons are available at our facility on our horses, or we allow haul-ins if preferred. If within thirty miles of Manchester, Tennessee, we can also travel to your facility to complete lessons on your horse.

Small group lessons of no more than four students are available after an introductory evaluation period. These lessons will be grouped by similar age and skill level.

Please arrive at least fifteen minutes prior to your scheduled lesson time to assist with grooming and tacking up your horse. All students must wear an ASTM/SEI-approved riding helmet, long pants, and boots with a heel. Limited helmet sizes are available to borrow, or bring your own.

We do not have an indoor, so all lessons are weather-permitting. We will ride in light rain, footing permitting, but in the case of severe weather, lessons will be canceled no later than one hour prior to the scheduled start time. Canceled lessons will be rescheduled.

If you need to cancel your lesson, a twenty-four hour notice must be provided so that other lessons may be scheduled.
